A senior living community will be united with Arizona State University campus life scheduled to be completed in 2020. A 20-story senior living community, with a continuum of care model, from independent living to higher levels of care. The community will be built on the corner of Mill Avenue and University Drive in Tempe.
The residents will be encouraged to utilize the campus amenities. Each resident will be given an ASU student ID card that will allow them to audit a variety of classes on campus. Additionally, a career mentorship program will be available to students and seniors. This senior living model that encourages generational crossings is gaining momentum with the platform to provide value to both generations. It is predicted further models, such as this, will be popular with the new aging population.
